- I am scheduled for my surgery this saturday and i am very nervous. I am near sighted, have very dry eyes, and have a stigmatism. Dr micheal said I am a candidate but im worried I'm not. My eyes bother me so much. They sting at night, give me headaches everyday, and I'm just worried about the procedure. If I am a candidate I want to be sure. My eyes are very dry already. And are very sensitive. My contacts and glasses are different prescriptions because it costs so much to get my glasses changed so I depend highly on my contacts. - i just went for a lasik consultation today, they did the tests and said i was a good candidate..beacause my prescription is too high and my cornea was good and thick enough but after that, i went with the dr. to do the second test consultation ..which is the next step..before the lasik procedure, and she said i had a prescription of 8.50 and in the other eye.. 11 i know its a very high prescription.but she told me that lasik might not be good for me, because once its done, its so much prescription power, that i might be dizzy for months and have problems reading and with stairs etc is this true? shoul i not get the lasik?
